Firs...Hey Colby...ya know, that's a great idea. First and foremost, it's just smart to have the info offloaded onto the web. I don't know if you were around NO in 2005 but it was BIG problem having data tied to specific hardware. I mean that in a general way.

Also, it would be dreamy to have access to a list of what I already own...it doesn't happen all that often, but I do occasionally buy things I already in the collection.ana-bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06918502866288050783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881301417977354358.post-91455705184945207912010-11-23T18:07:31.904-06:002010-11-23T18:07:31.904-06:00I've been meaning to do this too. Yeah, it's toug...Thanks for the kind note Jem.

Yeah, it's tough being laid up. I don't like it one bit. Whats making it worse though is the myth that you're supposed to be able to waddle right thru pregnancy, no problem. I keep hearing, "well, I drove myself to the hospital the first time", and "what are you doing in bed?, you're not even that far along". Apparently these folks have ever heard of a complicated pregnancy.

Not to get too personal, but you're having to rebuild your house? I'm not really asking for info, it's just that whatever the reason, my heart goes out to ya.

ana...ana-bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06918502866288050783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881301417977354358.post-90475544879619260102010-11-22T15:22:41.910-06:002010-11-22T15:22:41.910-06:00No mystery here as to why you "just had to ha...No mystery here as to why you "just had to have it"
Excellent side. Thank you!
I hope you are up and dancing real soon. I can relate, I'm normally a very active person, but I was out of commission for most of the summer because of a very annoying, and painful injury, that resulted in surgery a few weeks ago. It's much better now but, damn, I loathe dealing with recovery and down time. And from what I've gathered from the posts on your blog, you don't seem to be a fan of the inactive lifestyle either.
I nearly hit the floor in laughter when I read your doctor's scrapbook suggestion, but you're right, having a large collection of anything that needs cataloguing is not all that different. I can feel for you because I'm in the middle of sorting and cataloguing thousands of LP's, CD's and books to be insured before they go into temporary storage while I try to rebuild my house. Putting all that stuff in order is a lot of work, but at times it can also be a lot of fun.
May you be well, happy, peaceful, and rockin'!Jemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12805845473590793232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881301417977354358.post-40478687694987280282010-11-19T22:11:07.745-06:002010-11-19T22:11:07.745-06:00Brian...the man's a genius.Brian...the man's a genius.ana-bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06918502866288050783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881301417977354358.post-80276476553895863472010-11-19T22:10:39.643-06:002010-11-19T22:10:39.643-06:00Jeff...you don't think I own any scratchy old ...Jeff...you don't think I own any scratchy old junk? Don't tempt me or I'll post my collection of singles by the Grassroots [which are actually quite cool].

Mostly it's a matter of quantity. Even if the average value of my records is figured at $1 each, it still works out to a healthy chunk of change to lose if, god forbid, some idiot decides to fill up a few boxes. If you push that average to $5 each, it starts getting serious.

Ya gotta figure you're talking to someone who's seen everything suddenly disappear before and also someone who really doesn't own a lot except records. Kind of hard to hit an insurance agent with the news that the most expensive thing in the house [by far] is the record collection if you don't do some preparation first.ana-bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06918502866288050783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881301417977354358.post-20111809339614628992010-11-19T16:27:20.324-06:002010-11-19T16:27:20.324-06:00Great record, and just listen to that Toussaint pi...Great record, and just listen to that Toussaint piano in the background!.brianbrorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00613502494587378202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881301417977354358.post-31459284377891312292010-11-19T16:07:53.618-06:002010-11-19T16:07:53.618-06:00That sounds like a major project.
